Author Guidelines
Article Writing Guidelines
Rimba Torean Journal accepts original research or community service articles related to environmental studies, forestry, and sustainable development that have not been published elsewhere. Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian, with a total length of 8–12 pages including references.
Manuscript Format
- Font type: Times New Roman, size 11 pt, single spacing (1.0), A4 paper (margin 2.5 cm on each side).
- Title: TNR 16 pt, uppercase, bold, maximum of 15 words.
- Author’s name: TNR 12 pt, without academic titles. If there are multiple authors, use superscript numbers to indicate affiliations.
- Affiliation and corresponding email: placed below the main author’s name.
Article Structure
- Title – should clearly and concisely reflect the content of the article.
- Author(s) and Affiliation(s) – list full names, institutional affiliations, and corresponding email address.
- Abstract – written in both English and Indonesian (150–250 words), summarizing the objective, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Keywords – consist of 3–5 words, separated by commas.
- Introduction – provides background, problem statement, significance, and objectives of the research or community service activity.
- Method – describes the study area, target participants, implementation stages, and data analysis methods used.
- Results and Discussion – presents key findings and discusses them in relation to relevant theories or literature.
- Conclusion and Recommendations – summarizes findings that answer the objectives and provides suggestions for future work.
- Acknowledgments – if applicable, mention supporting institutions or funding bodies.
- References – formatted according to APA Style 7th Edition, with at least 80% of references sourced from journal articles published within the last 5 years.
Tables and Figures
- Tables should be numbered sequentially and include a title above the table.
- Only horizontal lines should be used (no vertical lines).
- Figures must include captions below and be referenced in the text.
- Ensure all images have high resolution and adequate contrast.
Article Types
- Research articles in environmental, forestry, and socio-ecological fields.
- Community service articles focusing on empowerment and sustainability.
- Conceptual or literature review articles relevant to the journal’s scope.
Review Process
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a single-blind peer review process by at least two independent reviewers according to their field of expertise. The final decision (accepted, revision required, or rejected) is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations.
