FOCUS

Ncera: Journal of Community Innovation focuses on community service, community empowerment, and community-based innovation that respond to local needs and address social, educational, economic, environmental, technological, cultural, and public health challenges. The journal emphasizes practical, participatory, collaborative, and innovative approaches that strengthen community capacity, promote local potential and wisdom, and develop sustainable solutions to community problems. It welcomes contributions that demonstrate meaningful community involvement, applicable innovation, measurable outcomes, and potential for sustainable implementation and wider community impact.

SCOPE

Based on its focus on community service, empowerment, and community-based innovation, Ncera: Journal of Community Innovation welcomes manuscripts addressing the following areas:

ARTICLE TYPES

Research Articles Original research articles presenting empirical, conceptual, or analytical studies on social innovation and community development. Articles should provide a clear research question or objective, appropriate methodology, evidence-based findings, and a significant contribution to the understanding or development of innovative approaches to social and community challenges.

REVIEW ARTICLES

Comprehensive and critical reviews of published literature on specific topics related to social innovation and community development. Review articles should synthesize existing knowledge, identify emerging trends, discuss research gaps, and provide directions for future research

CONCEPTUAL AND THEORETICAL ARTICLES

Scholarly articles that develop, examine, or propose theoretical frameworks, conceptual models, or analytical perspectives related to social innovation and community development. These articles should provide a clear theoretical contribution and demonstrate relevance to existing scholarship.

CASE STUDIES

PRACTICE AND INNOVATION REPORTS

Scholarly reports presenting the development, implementation, evaluation, or adaptation of innovative community practices or models. Submissions should emphasize the innovation itself, its underlying rationale, evidence of outcomes or impact, lessons learned, and potential for adaptation or replication rather than merely describing routine community service activities.
